Harm Reduction

Course Description:

Social Workers and other professionals will explore the philosophy and principles of harm reduction when working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.  Focus will be on understanding how harm reduction methodology and philosophy is different from traditional clinical approaches.  Specific intervention skills will be examined, including skills associated with stages of change, motivational interviewing, and methodology associated with DBT.  Finally, participants will learn the core skills needed to effectively document the clinical process in harm reduction.  This workshop is available for $29. Cost includes workshop and materials.
