Course Description:

The goals of stroke rehabilitation are to optimize how a person functions after a stroke and enhance the level of independence to achieve the best possible quality of life. The 2022 Stroke Conference will provide rehabilitation specialists with valuable information on the patient journey from acute care through rehab. The keynote presentation will address neuroanatomy and secondary stroke prevention. Other key topics include implementing high-intensity training in stroke rehabilitation, addressing post-stroke visual dysfunctions which impact recovery, and management of shoulder pain in stroke patients. Augmentative and alternative communication, aphasia management will also be presented. All participants will benefit from the panel presentations and discussion.
